Fibonacci Bedhead
2009-2011, by JMW
This was an early artwork by John Michael Wade after he decided to reinvent himself as an abstract sculptor in 2009. The three 160 cm lengths of wood were painted in strident commercial gloss colours (Dulux and Wilkinson paints) matching the Fibonacci sequence - see Fibonacci duo for explanation of this ancient mathematical series - in 2009. They then languished in his garage until finally fixed to the head of the king-size bed in the mistress (or main) bedroom of his home in January, 2011.
